2. Booking and Reservation Terms
2.1. Making a Booking
All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is not confirmed until we have issued a written confirmation invoice and received the required deposit from you. When you make a booking, you warrant that you are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of all members of your party.
2.2. Deposits
To secure a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total package cost is required at the time of booking. For bookings made within 8 weeks of the departure date, full payment is required immediately.
2.3. Final Payment
The balance of the payment is due no later than 60 days prior to the departure date. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
2.4. Pricing
All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs, and taxes. We reserve the right to increase prices due to factors beyond our control, such as significant currency fluctuations or fuel surcharges. You will be informed of any price increase greater than 2% as soon as possible.
3. Cancellations and Amendments
3.1. Cancellation by You
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing via email to [email protected]. Cancellation charges will apply as follows based on the number of days prior to departure:
- More than 60 days: Loss of deposit only.
- 42 to 60 days: 50% of total package cost.
- 28 to 41 days: 75% of total package cost.
- Less than 28 days: 100% of total package cost.
3.2. Amendments by You
If you wish to change your booking after confirmation, we will endeavour to accommodate your request. However, amendments are subject to availability and an administration fee of £50 per person, plus any additional costs incurred by our suppliers (e.g., airlines, hotels).
3.3. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel your booking in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure), such as war, terrorism, industrial disputes, or natural disasters. In such cases, we will offer you the option of an alternative holiday or a full refund of all monies paid. We will not be liable for any further compensation or expenses.
4. Your Responsibilities
4.1. Travel Documents
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party possess a valid passport and any necessary visas for your destination. PeakWander is not liable for any refusal of entry or deportation due to invalid documentation. We recommend checking entry requirements at least 8 weeks before departure.
4.2. Health and Insurance
It is a condition of booking that you have comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, and repatriation. You must inform us of any medical conditions or special requirements at the time of booking.
4.3. Conduct
We expect all clients to behave in a reasonable and responsible manner. If the behaviour of any client causes damage, danger, or annoyance to others, we reserve the right to terminate their travel arrangements without refund and recover any costs incurred from them.
5. Complaints
If you have a complaint during your trip, you must immediately inform our local representative or the service provider (e.g., hotel manager) so that they have the opportunity to rectify the issue. If the matter is not resolved, please contact us via email at [email protected] within 28 days of the end of your holiday. Any claim received after this period may not be considered.
6. Liability
PeakWander acts as an agent for third-party suppliers such as airlines, hotels, and transport operators. We accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or death caused by the negligence or default of these third parties. Our liability is limited to the amount of the travel package cost.
